New Special Showcase

We hope wherever you are, you are keeping safe and well and finding some time to knit and crochet. The benefits of crafting to our mental health are even more important when we find ourselves in such uncertain times.
Our last launch for this season is a celebration of our most popular yarn Special with new shades in DK, and new patterns in Aran and Chunky. We hope this feast of colours will brighten your day.
Special DK
We know how much you love Special DK, whether you knit or crochet, and we hope you will be delighted to see five vibrant new colours added to the palette. You, dear reader, told us the colours you wanted to include, and we listened so welcome Dandelion, Clementine, Proper Purple, Apple and French Navy to the family.
To celebrate the new shades, we have created a fantastic mother and daughter collection of captivating garments including jumpers, cardigans, hats and scarves to reflect the current trend. Yes, it’s actually a thing to dress alike.
Playful Posy Blanket and Cushion Design From Helen Boreham
We are so thrilled to be working once again with Helen Boreham. Her playful way with colours and motifs make every design a pleasure to make. The latest crochet blanket and cushion design, her fourth with us, is called Playful Posy and is a bright and optimistic project using Special Aran in 9 colours including Sage, Teal, Fondant, Mustard, Cream, Magenta, Duck Egg, Spice and Plum
Special Aran
In Special Aran there are 3 pattern leaflets which feature the new shades that we launched in Autumn 2019. The designs are a modern take on traditional garments majoring on beautiful cables.
Special Chunky
Last but by no means least here are three new pattern leaflets in Special chunky including cardigans with a Fisherman’s rib, a honeycomb cabled jumper and a cosy blanket with matching cushion. Such satisfying knits.
Your local yarn shop or favourite online seller will now have all these colours and patterns in stock, but please be patient with them as items are taking longer to send out, due to social distancing, and longer to arrive as Royal Mail and courier companies prioritise deliveries to the NHS and other important services.
