This month we have a beautiful Make Along project starting today in our group, specially designed by Jane Crowfoot.

Most of you will be familiar with Jane’s Fruit Garden CAL that launched earlier in the year.  It’s based on the embroideries of May Morris, the daughter of William Morris, which Jane has found so inspiring.

The project has been such a success that Jane has designed two cushions for our September Make Along, using motifs from the Fruit Garden blankets. You might also like to mix up some of the motifs for your own unique cushions.  They are all so beautiful, it’s hard to choose.

Each cushion has its own finish; one has an opening across the middle of the back with pretty buttons; and the other has crocheted piping and buttons up at the top.

If you have already taken part in the CAL, you will be able to use up some of the left-over yarn on these cushions to make yourself a Fruit Garden set, but make sure you check the quantities first, which you can find here.

The instructions for the cushions are on Jane’s website here but you will also need to download the different motifs from our website as well, which you can find here.

Please do join us in our Make Along group - we’d love to see which motifs you choose.
