March Make Along

This month’s make along is this lovely Zig Zag hat and fingerless mitts pattern, which is free to download here.

The set has been specially designed for us using Highland Heathers in four shades, which we launched last year.  The yarn is just perfect for this technique, with its heathery tones.

 

If you have never tried Fair Isle knitting this is a great project for you.  The pattern is nice and simple, and you don’t need to float over too many stitches. We’ve even put together this handy video to help you keep your yarns untangled for fool proof Fair Isle.
