One of the highlights of each season is when we send our collections out so that yarn shops can hold a trunk show for their customers. It gives people the chance to see a pattern made up and try it on as well as enjoying a get together with fellow crafters.

This season we haven’t been able to do this but we didn’t want you to miss out so we thought we would bring the trunk show to you via the wonders of technology.

The lovely Angela has recorded a video to show you a fabulous selection of crochet items for you, your little ones and for your home - some of our favourites to bring you a little crochet inspiration.

Here are the projects included in the video.

This gorgeous set is in Bambino Prints using pattern leaflet 8570. It takes 5 balls to make the easy crochet blanket, hat and jacket and we used shade Ragdoll.

One of our best-selling crochet patterns, 9090, designed by Sue Pinner was originally made in Life DK. Our new version has been scaled up and made into a throw using Naturals Bamboo+Cotton DK in 2 balls each of Blossom, Seafoam, Aqua, Blush, Raisin, Spring Green, Coral, Lavender, Buttermilk, Azalea, Rose, Citronella, Heather and 3 balls of Ecru.

Here’s pattern 9771 a new design by the talented designer Helen Boreham called the Playful Posy Blanket & Cushion using Special Aran.

A sneak peak of soon-to be-released patterns 9781 and 9784 in Cabaret featuring crochet shawls and a poncho. They will both be released in July.

We just love the Fruit Garden CAL by Jane Crowfoot in 2 beautiful colourways which are in either Naturals Bamboo+Cotton DK or a mixture of favourites Life DK with Batik DK.  You can join the CAL group here and there will be an exciting new colourway release for the second CAL that starts in September.

This poncho pattern, 9417, is free on our website. In this version we have used Batik Swirl, using 2 balls in Forest.

If you fancy a challenge why not try Emily Littlefair’s Winifred Shawl seen here in Stylecraft Bellissima DK and Bambino DK. You can find the original here.

Emily has also created a blanket and cushion design called Floral Dreams. It uses 16 balls of Special DK in total including Parchment, Duck Egg, Aspen, Violet, Sherbet, Sage, Cloud Blue, Petrol, Bluebell, Magenta, Clematis, Boysenberry and Plum. You can also join the Make along here.

The final design is a classic, 9091. It has been re-coloured using our Batik DK in Gold as the main colour and 13 contrast colours to create that rainbow look.

And now here’s the video so you can get a closer look at all these projects and pick up some essential tips from Angela.
