We are really delighted to launch a fun competition for you with our Blogstar Julia Marsh from Hand Knitted Things.

Launching today, Julia has re-coloured her very popular Special Stripy Blanket especially for us, and it is our official August Make Along which starts on 13th August over in our Make Along group.

This colourway is called Sea Breeze and uses seven colours of our Special Chunky yarn – isn’t it gorgeous?

To celebrate, Julia has come up with a fantastic competition.  She wants you to create your own colour combination for the blanket using the theme Deckchair.  The closing date is 21st August.

All you have to do is download our special template, colour in the deckchair with your choice of shades, scan or photograph your entry and email it to Bronagh.  Don’t forget to include your contact details and a list of the colours you have used from the Special Chunky palette.

Julia will then choose a winner who will receive the yarn to make the blanket in their chosen colours, and a copy of the pattern.  So why not get your colouring pencils or felt tip pens out and have a go?
